Egypt Photography Tours ("we", "us", "our") is a photography tour company registered in Egypt, operating photoshoots at the Pyramids of Giza and full tours across Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information you share with us.

2. What Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to deliver your photoshoot or tour. This includes:
- Identity data: name, nationality (required for Egyptian permit applications at the Giza Plateau).
- Contact data: email address, phone number (including WhatsApp if you message us).
- Booking data: preferred dates, group size, tour or photoshoot selection, special requests.
- Payment data: processed securely by third-party providers — we never store your card details.
- Photographs: images we take during your photoshoot, stored in a private gallery for delivery.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited (via analytics).
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to:
- Confirm and manage your Pyramids photoshoot or multi-day tour booking.
- Apply for the required permits with Egyptian authorities.
- Send you your final photo gallery and confirm delivery.
- Respond to your enquiries via email, WhatsApp or the contact form.
- Improve our website and services (aggregated, anonymous analytics only).
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, tourism authority reporting).
We never sell your data to third parties. We do not add you to marketing lists without your explicit consent.

6. Cookies & Tracking
We use the minimum cookies required. When you first visit, a banner asks for your consent. If you accept, we load Google Analytics with IP anonymisation to understand which pages (like our gallery or tours) are most helpful. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set — the site continues to work identically.
The only cookie we always need is a small preference cookie that remembers your language choice (EN, AR, FR, ES, DE, RU).
7. Data Retention
Booking records are kept for 7 years to comply with Egyptian tax and tourism laws. Your final photo gallery is stored for 12 months after delivery — you may request an extension. Contact form submissions are deleted after 24 months. Analytics data auto-expires after 14 months.
8. Security
All data travels over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Payments are processed by PCI-DSS certified providers. Access to your booking information is restricted to our core team. We perform regular backups and monitor for unusual activity.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are booked by adults (18+). We welcome children on family photoshoots but require a parent or guardian to make the booking and provide consent for their images to be captured and delivered.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
